Riyadh – Mubasher: The second edition of the Saudi Green Initiative (SGI) Forum is set to launch this November in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
The forum, taking place during 11-12 November 2022, is held annually under the patronage of the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, gathering climate leaders to discuss best practices, highlight innovation, evaluate progress, and drive forward substantive action in the race against climate change.
The SGI Forum 2022, held in tandem with COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh, will reconvene allies from across the climate ecosystem under the theme of “From Ambition To Action”.
Speakers will highlight the steps taken over the past year towards realising Saudi Arabia’s national targets as well as laying out the roadmap for the coming years.
The Saudi Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, the Saudi Ambassador to the US, Princess Reema Bandar Al-Saud, and the Climate Envoy for Saudi Arabia, Adel bin Ahmed Al Jubeir, are some of the event’s key local speakers.
